Job Purpose

The Stock Controller plays a key role in managing the flow of goods by accurately picking, packing, and booking deliveries. This role involves close coordination with the sales order processing team to ensure timely and efficient deliveries and collections. The Stock Controller is also responsible for maintaining high inventory accuracy through continuous process improvements. This includes upholding quality standards in stock management, investigating variances, and identifying and resolving root causes to prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pick and pack kits for both production and customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

2. Coordinate national and international deliveries, liaising with couriers and logistics partners to meet delivery schedules.

3. Receive incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and delivery notes, and reporting any discrepancies promptly.

4. Conduct perpetual cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies to maintain high stock accuracy.

5. Ensure warehouse operations are safe, efficient, and compliant with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

1. Proven experience in stock control, ideally within the electronics or motorsport industries.

2. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and inventory management systems.

3. Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving stock discrepancies.

4. Solid literacy and numeracy skills, essential for accurate data handling and reporting.

5. A methodical and analytical mindset for troubleshooting and resolving unforeseen issues.

6. Open-minded and committed to continuous improvement, with a focus on efficiency, process optimisation, and waste reduction in line with lean manufacturing principles.
